About me
I specializes in unique type of silk painting. The technique is a totally self created meld or blend of kimono painting and a resist method that shows none of the white lines that are so distracting with modern silk painting methods.
In the past two years, I have won numerous awards for new and unique art work in both Calgary and Edmonton for hand painted orchid banners.

During the process of creating and steaming the silk, every once in a while things don’t quite turn out as well as I had planned, a splash of water . a drop of stain in the wrong place and the banner or painting just doesn’t work. So I could not simply crumple and toss them, parts were still beautiful and worked well. I decided to make “silk purses out of sows ears” and use the most lovely parts for small hand bags or lavender sachets.
